GTM / Revenue Operations Lead — Life Sciences / B2B Ingredients Innovator – 27782575
Brooklyn, NY (On-site, Mon–Thu) | $120K–$170K + Equity | Reports to VP of GTM
I’m recruiting for a fast-growing, venture-backed life sciences company that’s cracked something rare: a product the market actually wants, faster than the sales team can currently handle. This is a confidential search — company details shared with qualified candidates.
The Opportunity
My client develops clinically-validated, first-of-their-kind functional ingredients — technology so effective it’s unlocking entirely new product claims for the brands that use it. They’re already the trusted ingredient partner for leading consumer brands, with more launches in the pipeline, and they’ve raised nearly $40M from top-tier investors including Lux Capital, Valor Equity Partners, and Shine Capital.
Here’s the part that makes this role compelling: demand is outpacing what the current sales team can capture. You won’t be validating whether the product works — you’ll be designing the systems that let the company scale revenue against proven demand. That’s a rare position to walk into.
You’ll work directly alongside a VP of GTM (ex-Deloitte) and co-founders (ex-McKinsey) — a commercial team stacked with top-tier consulting alumni. This is a genuine masterclass in commercial strategy at a company still small enough (roughly 26 people) that your fingerprints will be on everything.
What You’ll Do
- Map the go-to-market motion end to end, identify the highest-leverage gaps, and own the roadmap to close them
- Build systems that fill the pipeline — automated content creation, market trend tracking, targeted outbound prospecting, and personalized re-engagement
- Sharpen who the team sells to and how, through lead qualification/routing and customer segmentation
- Help sellers close more — meeting automation, deal-specific intelligence, and flagging deals that are stalled, at risk, or ripe for expansion
- Own pipeline data end to end, unifying customers, deals, and revenue into a single source of truth
- Measure what’s working across outbound, inbound, and every other channel, and feed those insights back into the GTM engine
- Build with cutting-edge AI tooling alongside the co-founders — the goal is sellers spending their time selling, closing far more than they otherwise could
What They’re Looking For
- 3–6 years in business operations, management consulting, or strategy — someone who has structured hard, ambiguous problems and driven them to resolution
- A track record designing end-to-end business workflows that measurably improved commercial outcomes
- Experience in GTM, revenue operations, or sales enablement is a strong plus
- Background in CPG, ingredients, biotech, or pet health is a bonus, not a requirement
- Comfortable with imperfect data and high ambiguity — this is a build-it-yourself environment, not one with a playbook already written
- CRM/pipeline tool fluency (Salesforce, HubSpot or similar) and the ability to build reporting dashboards
- Fluency with — or genuine eagerness to learn — modern AI and automation tooling
- High agency: proposes solutions without being asked, communicates clearly and concisely, and biases toward fast, iterative execution over perfection
- Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, engineering, or a related field
Not the right fit if: you need heavy direction or only thrive with a clear playbook already in place, you’re purely theoretical without a bias toward shipping tangible work, or you’re resistant to learning new AI/technical tools.
Why This Role Stands Out
- A genuine inflection-point seat — you’re not testing product-market fit, you’re scaling against it
- Direct access to a stacked leadership team — ex-Deloitte and ex-McKinsey commercial leaders, in a small enough company that you’ll learn fast and be seen
- Real investment in compensation growth — annual comp and equity refreshes happen every April/May, independent of promotion cycles
- Backed by top-tier capital (~$40M raised) and expanding into significant new markets
Compensation & Logistics
- $120K–$170K base + generous equity (details discussed during the interview process)
- On-site Monday–Thursday at a Brooklyn Navy Yard headquarters and lab
- Not open to visa sponsorship (U.S. citizens/Green Card holders only)
