Our Client is a leading provider of Transportation Management Software (TMS) to Enterprise Fortune 2000 Manufacturers, Distributors and E-Commerce companies. Our TMS Software often plugs into a companies ERP or SCM Software System as a Cloud or On-Premise Solution.

  • The Client is looking for a “hands-on” Director of ISS or Outside Commercial Sales with (5+) years of Direct Management of an Inside Software Sales Team or an Account Management Sales Team selling TMS Software or Managing Sales Teams @ 3PL/4PL.
  • You will have (6) Inside Sales Reps on your Team initially. Your Inside Sales Team will start to become a Hybrid Sales Team moving forward. All of your Hybrid Sales Team will be located in Houston, as it grows.
  • You must have Experience using Metrics to Measure each Salesperson’s Performance. Your Hybrid Team will using Salesforce, HubSpot, and SalesLoft.

In this role as Director of Sales, you will be Coaching, Teaching and Helping your AE’s close deals. Your Sales Team gets Leads from the Houston BDR Team, typically selling to companies with (2-15+) trucks.

If you have been successful managing Transportation Management Software (TMS) Sales Teams selling into Fortune 2000 Manufacturers, Distributors & E-Commerce for companies like Shipsy, Oracle Transportation, MercuryGate, Uber Freight, SAP Transportation, Luminate Logistics, C.H. Robinson, Kuebix, Shiptify etc. or their competitors, we would like to speak with you!

You must be able to: Coach Every Step of the Sales Process, Close Deals, Live in Greater Houston, Call-on (5+) years of Sales Management Experience & Have a 4-year College Degree (preferred).

What You Have:

  • (5+) years of successful Sales Management Experience in the Transportation Management Software (TMS) Space.
  • Record of Exceeding Quota ($MM+) Managing Teams selling into Fortune 2000 Manufacturers, Distributors & E-Comm.
  • Have demonstrated Job Stability in your Career. Will consider Sales Managers w/ 3PL or 4PL Managing Experience.
  • Experience Managing Sales Team Selling TMS Software into the Fortune 2000 is a MUST!
  • A Relationship Builder who has been Successful! Live in Greater Houston!
  • Proven ability to successfully interact with Enterprise C-level Executives & Owners, Negotiate, and Close business.
  • Able to help write Cogent, Quality, Business Value Proposals, and Manage RFP’s.
  • Excellent Presentation Skills.
  • Having Managed Using a Solution Selling Methodology (MEDDIC, Challenger, Spin, Sandler, etc) is a Big Plus plus.
  • Disciplined in Managing People, Time and The Sales Process.
  • 4-Year College Degree or Equivalent Experience.
  • Personable, Fun to be Around, Don’t Take Yourself Too Seriously!

Base Salary: $130,000.00 – $165,000.00 (DOE)

Total Compensation: $200,000.00 – $250,000.00 + (No Cap) + Bonuses + Promotions + Great Benefits Package + Full Expenses

Locations: Must Live in Greater Houston.
