Model Home Sales Representative – IL – 27736175

We are looking for a bright, energetic person with an outgoing personality to sell new model homes in the Western suburbs of Chicago (Sycamore, Winfield, Rockford, Rochelle, DeKalb, etc. areas).  You do not have to be a licensed agent to fill this position.  This position is with a new home builder and will require some knowledge of home construction features.

This small regional builder was founded in 2010, with the mission of offering more options for future homeowners while having some of the systems and efficiencies of larger builders. Over the years, the company has grown through the generous word-of-mouth referrals from existing homeowners allowing them to expand into multiple communities, within two states. This company serves Chicagoland’s western suburbs and has expanded to the Quad Cities / Eastern Iowa area in 2015. The company most recently expanded to the Iowa City Corridor market in 2023.

The commitment to relationships, quality materials and an efficient process has made them one of the most established locally owned and operated builders in both Chicagoland and Eastern Iowa.

Job Responsibilities:  

  • Showcase new home construction to potential buyers.
  • Coordinate activities to assure continuity towards selling and closing new sales.
  • Professionally interact with all potential buyers.
  • Responsible for maintaining a data system including entering all new potential customers and contacts.
  • Following up with prospective customers after the initial visit.

Education & Experience:

  • 5-20 years of previous customer interaction experience.
  • Ability to work Tuesday  – Sunday or Wednesday – Sunday is required
  • Backgrounds in education, retail, customer success, and sales will be considered
  • Professional appearance and demeanor are highly required
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Previous home selling experience would be a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred

Base Salary: $40,000.00 – $50,000.00 (DOE) + Commissions on New Home Sales
