Senior Product Manager — Consumer-Grade Fintech/Logistics Platform – 27783209

San Francisco Bay Area, CA (Hybrid, 4 days/week in-office) | $180K–$220K + Equity + Bonus

We’re recruiting for one of the most well-capitalized, fastest-moving fintech companies tackling a massive, underserved market — a confidential search, with company details shared with qualified candidates.

The Opportunity

Our client is often described as “Stripe for Transportation”  building modern payment and financial infrastructure for an ~$800B industry that’s been stuck with outdated, fraud-prone, fee-heavy tools for decades. They’re not building another dashboard for knowledge workers who already have fifty of them they’re building for truckers, dispatchers, and fleet managers who genuinely need better tools to run their businesses.

They’ve raised ~$305M to date, including a $130M Series C led by General Catalyst (with Mastercard participating), and count Elad Gil, Bloomberg Beta, Y Combinator, and angels including Eric Schmidt, Marc Benioff, Brian Armstrong, and Tony Xu among their backers. They’ve been named to a major Forbes Next Billion-Dollar Startup list and joined the World Economic Forum as a Global Innovator. The team is stacked with operators and engineers from Google, Uber, Meta, Stripe, Shopify, and Chime, with a founding team that built at Cruise Automation and led ops/growth at Uber.

This is also a genuinely GenAI-forward product culture — PMs are expected to prototype hands-on with tools like Claude Code to validate ideas and align the org before committing engineering resources. Not a company that just talks about modern tooling — one that actually uses it.

The Role

This is not a feature-factory PM seat. You’ll own strategy and roadmap for a core product surface end-to-end, with real autonomy over a problem space that directly affects how truckers and fleet managers get paid, manage fraud, and run their day-to-day operations. Expect deep, real customer immersion — interviews, industry conferences, direct contact with the people who actually use what you build not a role that’s all Slack and spreadsheets.

What They’re Looking For

  • 5+ years of product management experience, ideally in B2B or enterprise software (10 years is a hard ceiling — this is not a fit for 15+ years or Principal+ candidates who’ve leveled past hands-on building)
  • Experience at one of a set of target companies (think Lyft, Uber, Cash App, Block/Square, Meta, LinkedIn, Shopify, Walmart, DoorDash) — or from smaller fintech/logistics companies
  • strong customer/user-research track record — someone who has personally run discovery with end users and shipped product based on it, not someone who over-indexes on metrics/experimentation at the expense of talking to real users
  • Direct experience owning a 0→1 product end-to-end (spec through launch through iteration) founding PM experience or equivalent ownership
  • A track record building customer-facing product for non-technical, field, or consumer-grade end users — not internal tooling, even within a relevant domain like fleet/logistics
  • Hands-on or genuinely curious experience with GenAI prototyping (Claude Code, Lovable, agentic tools) — real substance, not just AI buzzwords without work to back it up
  • SQL or equivalent data querying ability to inform product decisions
  • Based in or willing to relocate to the SF Bay Area, in-office 4 days/week

Not the right fit if: you’re AI/Data/Backend/DS-heavy rather than someone who works closely with designers to build consumer-facing product; you’re too senior and past hands-on building; your background is internal-tooling only; or your resume shows frequent short stints rather than sustained ownership.

Compensation & Logistics

  • $180K–$220K base + equity + bonus
  • Hybrid, SF Bay Area, 4 days/week in-office
