Protecting Privacy at Cube Management
At Cube, we are committed to protecting your privacy, and to developing technologies that provide a safe and secure computing experience.
In general, we will ask you when we need information that personally identifies you or allows us to contact you. For example, personal information is generally requested when you are asked to register before using our special Resources section, ordering e-mail newsletters, joining a limited-access premium service, or when purchasing and registering Cube software/products.
The amount of personal information you are required to supply will normally be limited to that which is necessary to supply the service or carry out the transaction that you have requested. If other information is requested, it will be labeled as optional.
Use of Your Personal Information
The personal information we collect from you will be used by Cube to provide the service or carry out the transaction you have requested or authorized. This may include using the personal information for the following purposes:
To provide you with important information about the product or service that you are using, including critical updates and notifications;
To make a site or service easier to use by eliminating the need for you to repeatedly enter the same information or by customizing the site or service to your particular interests or preferences;
To improve the product or service and to provide better customer service to users.
The privacy statement of the specific product or service you are using will disclose how the personal information that is collected will be used.
Cube does not sell, rent or lease its customer lists to third parties. Cube may disclose personal information if required to do so by law or in the good faith belief that such action is necessary to: (a) conform to the edicts of the law or comply with legal process served on Cube or the site; (b) protect and defend the rights or property of Cube Management, and, (c) act in urgent circumstances to protect the personal safety of clients of Cube Management, its Web sites, or the public.
Personally identifiable information collected by Cube may be stored and processed in the United States or any other country in which Cube or its affiliates, subsidiaries or agents maintain facilities.
Controlling and Accessing Your Personal Information
Because Cube Management offers a wide variety of different products and services, the personal information collected in each transaction may not all reside in a single location. Therefore to access or exercise control over the data submitted at a particular site or via a particular product, you may need to return to that location to learn how to access the data or change your preferences regarding the use of that data.
Nevertheless, Cube Management does believe that you should be able to exercise control over how the personal information you provide will be used. If you provide personal information to Cube for one purpose, you will be able to opt-out of that personal information being used for other unrelated purposes.
Cube also believes that you should be able to access the personal information you have provided, so that you can update or amend the data where it is inaccurate. Different Cube services may have different methods of providing access to the personal information they have stored. Some Cube sites and services have even created tools to allow you to directly access and change your personal data in real time. For example, personal information you have provided on the cubemanagement.com web site can be most readily accessed through the VIP section of the site.
Security of Your Personal Information
Cube carefully protects the security of the personal information you provide. Personal information we collect is stored in password-controlled servers with limited access, and we protect this information from loss or misuse, and from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. When sensitive personal information (such as a credit card number) is transmitted over the Internet, it is protected through the use of encryption, such as the Secure Socket Layer (SSL) protocol.
Use of Cookies On The Cube Sites
Cube does not make use of “cookies” except to compile aggregated statistics about web site usage. A cookie is a text file that is placed on your hard disk by a web page server. Cookies cannot be used to run programs or deliver viruses to your computer. Cookies are uniquely assigned to you or your computer, and can only be read by a web server in the domain that issued the cookie to you.
While they are only used for internal tracking purposes, you have the ability to accept or decline cookies. Most web browsers automatically accept cookies, but you can usually modify your browser setting to decline cookies if you prefer.
